Belle Baker explains what you get from doing the Tractoring For Women course

What you will learn at a Tractoring For Women training day

When you attend a Tractoring For Women event, you can expect a day filled with practical, hands-on learning and fun!

You’ll learn how to:

  • perform pre-start checks and identifying hazards
  • familiarise yourself with tractor controls, oil and diesel fill points, location of battery, air and oil filters
  • drive a tractor on various terrains with different loads
  • attach implements – hay forks, FEL bucket and slasher
  • picking up hay bales and putting into feeders, picking up and moving bulk items with a bucket

Our workshops are not theory-based; they are designed to give you the practical skills you need to operate a tractor safely and confidently.

You’ll have the opportunity to practice these skills on tractors that are similar to the ones you have at home.

By the end of the day, you’ll be able to undertake farm operations with confidence and share your newfound knowledge with others, supporting and enhancing operations on your property.
